PM Kisan Registration 2026 – How to Apply and Get Your ₹6,000

What's New in 2026

  • e-KYC is now mandatory annually to continue receiving instalments
  • Face authentication e-KYC available through PM Kisan app
  • All payments linked to Aadhaar-seeded bank accounts only
  • State government verification now faster (average 7–10 days)

Who Can Register

  • All landholder farmer families with cultivable agricultural land
  • Land must be in the farmer's name (or joint family's name)
  • Both small (below 2 hectares) and large farmers are eligible unless excluded

Excluded categories (cannot register):

  • Current/former MPs, MLAs, Ministers, constitutional post holders
  • Central/State government employees (except Group D / MTS)
  • Income tax payees
  • Retired pensioners getting ₹10,000+/month
  • Registered professionals (doctors, engineers, lawyers, CAs, architects)
  • Institutional land holders

New Farmer Registration — Step by Step

Online Self-Registration

  1. Visit pmkisan.gov.in
  2. Click "Farmers Corner""New Farmer Registration"
  3. Select: Rural Farmer or Urban Farmer
  4. Enter Aadhaar number + State + Captcha → OTP verification
  5. Fill:
    • Personal details (name, DOB, category, bank details)
    • Land details (survey/Khasra number, Khatauni number, area in hectares)
  6. Upload land ownership document
  7. Submit → Registration confirmed

Through CSC or Agriculture Department

If you cannot register online:

  1. Visit your nearest Jan Seva Kendra (CSC) or Agriculture Department office
  2. Carry: Aadhaar, bank passbook (with IFSC), land record (Khasra/Khatauni)
  3. Operator will register you
  4. Application goes to Patwari for verification

Verification Process

After registration:

  1. Patwari verifies land records (7–15 days)
  2. State government approves (additional 5–10 days)
  3. PM Kisan portal updates status to "Verified"
  4. Next instalment credited to your bank account

e-KYC — Mandatory Every Year

Without e-KYC, your next instalment will be blocked.

Online e-KYC (OTP-based)

  1. Go to pmkisan.gov.in → "e-KYC"
  2. Enter Aadhaar number
  3. Enter OTP sent to Aadhaar-linked mobile
  4. e-KYC done instantly

Biometric e-KYC (If mobile number not linked to Aadhaar)

  1. Visit nearest CSC
  2. Biometric authentication (fingerprint)
  3. Done in minutes

PM Kisan App (Face Authentication)

  1. Download "PM Kisan" app from Play Store
  2. Login → e-KYC → Face authentication using selfie camera
  3. Fastest and most convenient method

Check Payment Status

  1. Visit pmkisan.gov.in
  2. Click "Know Your Status" under Farmers Corner
  3. Enter: Aadhaar number OR Bank account number OR Mobile number
  4. View all past instalments and pending status

Why Is My Payment Not Coming?

Reason Solution
e-KYC not done Complete e-KYC at pmkisan.gov.in or CSC
Aadhaar not linked to bank Visit your bank to link Aadhaar
Wrong IFSC code in registration Correct via CSC or Agriculture Dept
Land record mismatch Visit Patwari office with documents
Registration pending verification Follow up with Agriculture Dept
Excluded category No solution — not eligible
