Our Mission
Democratising Legal Knowledge for 1.4 Billion Indians
CommonManLaw was established on 22 September 2025 with a founding belief: legal ignorance is not the fault of the citizen — it is the failure of communication.
When a landlord illegally withholds a deposit, when a consumer is sold defective goods, when a worker is denied PF — in most cases, the person does not even know they have rights. We exist to change that.
We are not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice. We compile, simplify, and present publicly available legal information in language that every Indian citizen can understand and act on.
Our Founding Principle
“The law is meant to protect the common man. But a law no one knows about protects no one. We bridge that gap.”

What We Stand For
Our Values
Plain Language First
Every guide is written in simple English (and soon Hindi) — no legal jargon, no ambiguity. If a class 10 student cannot understand it, we rewrite it.
Always Free
CommonManLaw will never charge for access to legal information. This is a non-negotiable founding principle.
Privacy by Design
All tools run 100% in your browser. We do not store, transmit, or sell any personal data you enter into our tools.
Community Driven
We welcome contributions from lawyers, activists, journalists, and citizens who want to make legal information more accessible.
